About Puerto Montt

Puerto Montt is a town in southern Chile, capital of the Province of Llanquihue and the X (lakes) Region. Located opposite the Reloncaví Sound, it has a bay on its west side sheltered by the Island Tenglo. It is thus a link with the southern regions of General Carlos Ibanez del Campo (Region XI) and Magallanes (Region XII).
Because of its strategic location, this city is the starting point for travel to places and tourist attractions in southern Chile. Another important connection is the sea port which connects the southernmost regions to the rest of the country, as well as its international airport Tepual, second largest in the country, with major air terminals in Chile. Petrohué Falls Jet Boat

A 20-minute excursion that gives you the chance of almost touching the Petrohue Waterfalls thanks to the Jet Boat that ascends the river torrential waters. [+/-]
It is an excursion on a jet boat with capacity for 10 people, that navigates over 300 yards over the Petrohue River from the pier in Los Enamorados trail to the plunge pool, where the visitor can feel all the natures magnificence and an exclusive view to the Osorno volcano, volcanic rock and the Sierra Santo Domingo.
You can live a new experience filled with emotions when able to contemplate the beautiful Petrohue Waterfalls from a privileged point of view, also exciting and fun. Alerce Andino Park

To arrive to this wanderfull natural place we can proceed by route V-65 , crossing 45 km up to the Correntoso river and then we continue to drive to lake Chapo, where we find the park entry at a distance of close to 2,5km [+/-]

We would like to invite you to cross the "National Park Alerce Andino" and walk arround its antique "Peanut paths", past thousand-year-old alerces and coigües. Also we will be able to enjoy the beautiful lagoons Sargazo and Chaiquenes, and the rivers Lenca and Chaicas.

Another alternative for the 4x4 adventurers, is to drive across the Carretera Austral, bordering the Reloncaví bay. There you will arrive to Lenca. Then you have to follow the road and go to the Valley of the river Chaicas and then you have to drive up, to the lagoon Cauquenes where you can find the park entry, at approximately km 7.

Ensenada

At 40 km from Puerto Varas, we visit the town of Ensenada, where we can enjoy various outdoor activities, [+/-]

such as making a trip to Peulla to know Petrohué Falls and navigate the Lake Todos Los Santos. You can also do horseback riding trails and more extreme activities like rafting, kayaking and canopy for the more adventurous..

Volcan Osorno

It is located 60 kilometers northeast of Puerto Varas. It has a height of 2652 meters. Its great height makes it visible throughout the whole province of Osorno. [+/-]

Volcanic inactivity has continued for over a century and a quarter. At its slopes there are shelters that allow in the winter skiing and winter sports, hiking climb the volcano, canopy, hiking, and other outdoor activities .

Lago Todos Los Santos

It is located 96 km northeast of Puerto Montt and 76 km east of the city of Puerto Varas, within the confines of the Vicente Perez Rosales National Park.. [+/-]

It is characterized as the port of embarkation to start navigating to Peulla, a destination that runs along the "Lakes route " between Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas in Chile to San Carlos de Bariloche on Lake Nahuel Huapi in Argentina..

While visiting this destination, you can appreciate a beautiful landscape where is highlighted the majesty of Osorno Volcano, Puntiagudo y Tronador.
